We are an online design firm with a wide range of clients who all have too much work for us to do. We are looking for a mid-weight designer and front end developer to join us. Initially there will be 20-25 hours per week work, with the aim to extend to full time hours in 6 months. Ideally, the successful applicant will have the following:
• Exceptional knowledge of HTML/CSS, plus knowledge of Javascript, jQuery and PHP
• Strong knowledge of CMS including Wpress and Drupal. Locomotive is an asset (especially backend).
• An understanding of responsive frameworks.
• The ability to design for online and traditional media using Adobe Creative Suite
• Infographic and animation skills are a bonus, as is powerpoint (sorry, a few clients are old school)
• Good knowledge of social media and direct email platforms
• You must own hardware and software
• Be 100% reliable with the ability to work autonomously and an understanding that a deadline is a deadline (non-negotiable)
• Min 3-4 years industry experience OR exceptional, proven skill and ability by way of folio work
This role would not suit someone who is already working full time.
